About Lisa Adams

“Just do Lisa things.” My father told me that just weeks before he passed away. So here I am, trying to do something just for me. I have been working on becoming a serious writer for about two years now, but have had a dream of writing for about the past 5. I’ve set up a series of Short Term, Mid Term, and Long Term goals to help me on my path and become more focused.

My ultimate goal…by August 25th, 2019 – I want to be a known author. I would also be living the life as a writer, not just writing. Sounds weird I know but including the marketing, conferences, workshops to teach, things like that which will all be focused on writing. With royalties that I will have made by then, I’m hoping to put a downpayment on a new house. That’s the BIG Dream and there are 8 smaller dreams that will push me forward along that path.

I have a wonderful support system. My husband Ray, has graciously given me two or more hours a night to work on my writing, attend online classes or whatever. If I feel I need more time, I only have to ask and he’s never told me no. I can’t express how much it means to have his full support and cooperation. I really couldn’t do it without him.

My mother, sister, and my kids are all supportive as well, though my mother did ask me to use my married name because I wrote romance. I’m fine with that though. My kids leave me alone when I write and let me focus, even though I have five and they always want to interrupt, they understand my rules and support me as well.

The goal for 2011 is to have completed edited and quered or submitted for 2 novels. One is going our January 21st. Ultimately, the goal is to get one offer this year. May the muses be with me.

Keep in touch world.
